The Cambridge Nationals in Health and Social Care will equip students with a sound, specialist knowledge of how to meet the needs of individuals using the services, students gain employability skills along with learning life skills for everyday use. Students will explore treatments, as well as the role of a range of health and social care workers who support individuals with dementia. A member from the admissions team delivers an interactive presentation about the UCAS process, courses and career options. Students have the opportunity to understand the role of a support worker and gain experiencing observing staff at the day centre. Students visit the hospice for an informative information session about the role of support workers and a tour of the facilities.

A full day training day where students learn about different vital first aid procedures. Students have the opportunity to understand the role of a support worker and experience an afternoon at the centre. Students have the opportunity to meet a trained hypnotherapist and learn about key aspects of this alternative therapy.
